Hi! I’m Dani. You can call me Dani or Dani Lou, named affectionately after my late grandpa, Lucito.
I started my beauty career in high school through a cosmetology trade program at the Technology Center of DuPage from 2003-2004. I furthered my makeup education at the highly esteemed Makeup Forever Academy in 2017 & attended The Master Class by Mario Dedivanovic in 2019 (Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist).
I specialize in natural, neutral, soft glam & my mantra is “beauty that lets YOU shine through". I'm a LGBTQ-friendly space & have products for all skin tones & types. In a filtered world, I like to remind my clients that acne, skin texture & fine lines are normal. I use makeup as a tool to enhance your already beautiful features, so you still look & feel like yourself, just better.
My favorite part of my job is meeting so many wonderful people, seeing my clients' reaction when they look in the mirror & working with creative friends I’ve made along the way.
I’ve had the amazing opportunity to work with brands such as EcoTools, Nudestix & Tower 28 & do makeup for Broadway Chicago's cast of Hamilton.
With my years of experience, I will help create the makeup look you envisioned & make your special day run as smoothly as possible.
xo,
Your safety is my #1 priority. That's why:
• I require up-to-date Covid vaccines or a negative Covid test.
• I request a separate room or area for makeup.
• I take temperatures & provide hand sanitizer upon sitting in my chair.
• I continue to wear a face mask.
• I provide a clean brush set for each client.
• I spend hours disinfecting my kit after each job.
I would hate for anyone to get sick on my watch, or chance missing out on doing anyone’s makeup.
We’re all in this together! So let’s continue to keep each other safe.
Please allow 72hrs for a response.
For any inquiries over the weekend (Friday - Sunday), please expect a response by end of day Tuesday.
• Please bring proof of up-to-date Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test the day of the wedding (at-home tests are acceptable).
• Drink as much water as you can the week leading up to the big day.
• Each person should arrive at least 15min prior to their scheduled time. A $25 late fee will be incurred for every 15min a person is late. If someone is late, I can’t guarantee the group will be finished on time.
• Come with clean, moisturized faces. No mascara, no eyeliner.
• Lashes are included with each application.
• Wear garments you can easily remove without disrupting your makeup.
• Bring straws for everyone to drink from after their makeup.
• 68 degrees or lower is an ideal temperature for the room. You'll want the room to be very cool for makeup & hair.
• I'll need to set up in a spacious spot with good natural light (preferably in front of a big window).
• Please make sure the room has an outlet nearby to plug in lighting & a table or chair that can be moved to put extra equipment on.
• Please refrain from eating, talking on your phone & turning around while in the makeup chair.
• I often ask to take before & after photos to use on my social media/website, if anyone in the party does not want me to do so, please let me know in advance.
• Remember to bring lipstick, concealer & setting powder for touch-ups. It's also good to have tissues, q-tips & lash glue on-hand.
• For those getting makeup done, I require up-to-date Covid vaccines or a negative Covid test the day of the wedding (at-home tests are acceptable).
• I will need you to provide a separate room or area for makeup, so we aren't all hanging out/getting ready on top of each other.
• If your temperature exceeds 100.4, I will not be able to do your makeup.
• I will need each person getting their makeup done to have a freshly washed face & I will provide hand sanitizer prior to sitting in the chair.
• I will be wearing a face mask.
• I will be using sanitized makeup & brushes for each person.
• Food & drink will not be allowed in the chair.
• If anyone getting their makeup done is not feeling well, I ask that they do their own makeup.
• I reserve the right to refuse services if you can't comply with this policy.
• Contactless payment will be required 3 days prior to your wedding date. You have the option of using QuickPay/Zelle, or Venmo.
• If you need to postpone your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond your control, the $200 retainer is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future date. If you choose a future date that I'm unavailable, the retainer is not refundable.
